My third and final challenge that I am going to be embarking upon in 2017 is the Retellings Reading Challenge, which is being run by Jo at Once Upon a Bookcase (and the image in this post is from her blog as well). For this challenge, there are levels of difficulty, and I think I’m going to go for the easiest one, which is 1-4 across the years. I don’t want to do too many books in one genre, but also I don’t actually know of that many retellings.
The books I am aiming to read for this challenge are:
- As I Descended by Robin Talley – a Macbeth retelling
- Cinder by Marissa Meyer – a Cinderella retelling
- Heartless by Marissa Meyer – a prequel to Alice in Wonderland
I haven’t chosen a fourth one yet, but I do have some ideas, such as the sequel to Dorothy Must Die, A Midsummer’s Nightmare by Kody Keplinger, or And I Darken by Kirsten White.
So that is the final challenge I hope to complete. Let me know if you’re signed up for any challenges for the coming year – I’d be interested to see your choices!
